Walton & Taylor Mercantile exists to provide ultra-authentic reproduction civilian clothing of the Victorian/Frontier Era. In accordance with that goal, we will be publishing a series of articles on 19th century clothing and etiquette. There was a very definite link between clothing, how it was worn, behavior, and one's place in society. Perhaps not as strong on the frontier, but present nonetheless.
